SYNOPSIS: When a beautiful, aspiring writer strides into the East Village bookstore where Joe Goldberg works, he does what anyone would do: he Googles the name on her credit card.

There is only one Guinevere Beck in New York City. She has a public Facebook account and Tweets incessantly, telling Joe everything he needs to know: she is simply Beck to her friends, she went to Brown University, she lives on Bank Street, and she’ll be at a bar in Brooklyn tonight—the perfect place for a “chance” meeting.

As Joe invisibly and obsessively takes control of Beck’s life, he orchestrates a series of events to ensure Beck finds herself in his waiting arms. Moving from stalker to boyfriend, Joe transforms himself into Beck’s perfect man, all while quietly removing the obstacles that stand in their way—even if it means murder.

A terrifying exploration of how vulnerable we all are to stalking and manipulation, debut author Caroline Kepnes delivers a razor-sharp novel for our hyper-connected digital age. You is a compulsively readable page-turner that’s being compared to Gone Girl, American Psycho, and Stephen King’s Misery.

MY REVIEW: This may be all too familiar, but when you watch a really, really good show, and then realize it’s based on a book.. You go ape s**t over the excitement that it’s NOT OVER?! Well that’s me.. when i found out about this novel..

After watching the #Netflix show, I immediately ordered the novel, and it did NOT disappoint let me tell you, it was actually much more then I could’ve ever expected!

This book is 464 pages of intense drama, but the kind where you have to keep turning the page to find out what happens next..

I do have TBH and warn you all that the show is kinda, sorta, very different from the book, not in a bad way either. Lots of differences, but they adapted to the show very well.. If you did enjoy the show however, I would read the book, There’s so much more detail, a lot more of everything, and you’ll better understand the show and why they filmed it the way they did.

One thing.. you may or my not find out in the book.. is that a certain character in the show… doesn’t exist in the book… (oooohhh?)

You wanna know who it is?? Then read the book and find out!!

Next up for me.. the sequel ‘Hidden Bodies’ Yusss

Okie Bye! Off to read more murder mysteries… byeeee!
